ABOUT ME

Ian
Hello!

I’m Ian, a full time wedding photographer based in beautiful Somerset.

I’ve been interested in photography since 2004 and shot my first wedding in 2006. I learnt a lot about wedding photography working as a “second shooter” at weddings. I immediately fell in love with capturing the moments that tell the story of a wedding day. I feel privileged to be a part of such an important event and to be able capture the special moments. I work in a relaxed, unobtrusive manner allowing me to capture the emotion that comes naturally to any couple as their special day unfolds.

I absolutely love weddings. I love seeing the enjoyment on everyone’s faces as the beautiful bride enters the room and as the groom claps eyes on his wife to be for the first time.

There can’t be many jobs where you get messages from clients saying that they are overjoyed with the work you have provided and seeing the happiness that those photographs bring to so many members of family and friends.

I must admit, I don’t find it very easy talking about myself but as you are looking at my website it might mean that you want to know a little bit more about me!

Well here goes!

I am 32 years old, I live in Taunton, Somerset in the South-West of England.

Alongside wedding photography, I’m a very keen landscape photographer. You can see some of my landscape work at my sister website at photographybyianlewis.co.uk

Im a big music fan. I love a variety of music – from the Beatles, to The Jam, The Stone Roses and one of my favourite bands ever, Oasis. I love going to gigs and festivals and have been known to travel the length of the country just to see a band, even if Ive been to see them the previous month! I play the guitar…badly. I enjoy outdoor activities and would love to live near the sea one day. Im somewhat of a perfectionist and will often redo something a few times just to make sure Im happy with it 100%!

I’d love to talk to you about your wedding and hear your plans for your big day! If you would like to get in contact with me, please use my contact page.

Thanks for reading!
